2021 reading retrospective

Once again, I kept track of all the books I read in a year so that I could see if there were any interesting trends in my reading habits.

Last year I read 66 books. I didn’t manage to best that number in 2021, but I got pretty close:

I read a total of 57 books in 2021.

In last year’s reading retrospective post, I also predicted that I’d read more ebooks. Before we get to the good stuff (i.e. graphs), I want to point out again that if a book is listed under a particular month it doesn’t necessarily mean the book was both started and finished within that month. Most of the time, it just means that’s when I finished reading the book.

Okay, here we go:

Yeah, August wasn’t a good month for reading. I was still reading then, but not as much as usual, and as a result didn’t finish any books that month.

My prediction was correct! I read more ebooks than last year.

Okay, just one more graph for 2021:
